Linden Salter was born in London, and became a teacher, a career choice that led her to some interesting jobs in Nigeria and Papua New Guinea. She lived for many years in Australia's Northern Territory in a place called Humpty Doo before moving to Melbourne in 2004.

 

Linden passed away in Melbourne on 14 April, 2014. This site will continue to be maintained by her Literary Estate, which consists of her husband, Brian, their two sons, Michal and Jim, and Brian's daughters, Barbara and Alison. Her email address now redirects to Brian.

 

She ws fascinated by history, her favourite novelist was Jane Austen, and she did not own a cat.
